Taking Music Lessons

February 1, 2021

If you enjoy music – why not participate? Taking music lessons may help you achieve exactly that.  Listening to music can be a fantastic experience, but playing it can add an entirely different dimension. Some people may be a little intimidated at the thought of this. Perhaps your experiences of playing a recorder at school convinced you that you do not have any musical aptitude, or you think that you’ve left it too late to start. In either case, that would be a great pity as both assumptions are, typically, quite mistaken.

In fact, with the right teacher anybody can learn to play a musical instrument … age is not a stumbling block!

Yes, it is possible to learn how to play musical instruments by trial and error or through books, etc. However, taking music lessons is a far more effective mechanism given that many people find person-to-person teaching a better way to learn than using a book. Also, private music lessons may help avoid the picking-up of bad habits and allow you to develop a better understanding of the context of the instrument you have chosen.

Private music lessons in the safety of your own home come in many shapes and forms and possibly, contrary to your expectations, may actually prove to be modestly priced. A wide range of instrument lessons are available or, if you prefer singing, that can also be accommodated.

Music instructors for all students levels are available.  Of course, you may not be a beginner and may already have a degree of skill. In such situations you may be looking to move up to another skill level or just trying to improve your techniques. Maybe your music development has gotten stuck, or rather drab, and you need some extra advice and guidance as to how to progress further.  Private music lessons may be easier to arrange than you think and they could change your perception of an instrument and music in general.

Kathryn Brickell Music offers quality, private music lessons to students in the New York Metro area.  Begin or tune up your music abilities today with private music lessons from one of the music teachers at Kathryn Brickell Music [https://music-instruction.com].
