10 Essential Rules for Learning The Guitar

December 3, 2015

1. Practice!:

Practice makes a man perfect

Practice is the basic key to success. The more you practice, the better you’ll get at it. Guitar tones truly have a lot of variations so practice is vital.

2. Find a way to stay motivated:

Motivation is very important for any work and such is the case with playing guitar. Everybody has a different source of motivation. Tip: Think of your favourite musician as your idol and dream goal.

You may not be playing well enough in the beginning but that doesn’t mean you don’t have the required skills.

3. Learn the basic skills the right way:

Building a proper base is very important for a better and brighter future. The more you focus on the basis in the start the better results you’ll obtain in the future.

4. Play in Time:

Playing with the rhythm is quite important. Many of us face this problem at the start. An easy solution to this is playing with a CD recording.

5. Learn To Listen:

Listening is a highly under-rated skill. More than just about anything else it will help you become a great musician.

6. Learn Some Music Theory:

Music Theory is boring for people but it is really beneficial for any musician.

7. Buy A Guitar

8. Put Variety In Your Routine:

A variation would keep you motivated throughout your tough practices. You could also explore more sides to the different tunes.

9. Stay Healthy:

Health is Wealth without proper mental preparation you wouldn’t be able to get the most out of yourself.

10. Have Fun:

Enjoying yourself is also important. Don’t overstress yourself and think of music as a fun activity.
