Tara Porcaro has been playing the violin for 13 years. She earned a degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia where she was a recipient of the Rudolph Schenk Scholarship for being an Dzoutstanding violin studentdz. One of her most proud performance experiences include performing with the infamous Yo-yo Ma and the Fredonia College Symphony. In addition to this ensemble, Tara has also performed with the Centre Symphony Orchestra, the Mercyhurst College Orchestra, The Fredonia Opera Orchestra, and a String Jazz Ensemble. She performed in various solo recitals through out her career as well as chamber music concerts with her quintet. Tara is also on the music instructor staff during the summer at the Music, Meadows, and Mountains Retreat in Washington State. Tara is a former student of Maureen Yuen. She’s been teaching privately for 5 years and currently resides in the New York City area.
