Susanna G. Cellist Susanna G. presents solo and chamber music performances throughout the United States. Performing a wide range of repertoire—from Bach, Haydn and Brahms to Shostakovich, Crumb and Xenakis—she has performed numerous concerts in venues such as Kulas Recital Hall in Oberlin, Ohio; Auer Hall in Bloomington, Indiana; Kellogg Music Center in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and Katzin Hall in Tempe, Arizona.
Also in Arizona, Ms. G. performed at the 2011 Xenakis Festival and the 2010 Steinway Chamber Festival. Susanna G. is a frequent collaborator and has performed with artists including Bernard Greenhouse, the Tokyo String Quartet, Emmanuele Baldini, Catalin Rotaru and Ciao Pagano. As an orchestral musician, Ms. G. has performed concerts under conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Leonard Slatkin, Steven Smith, David Effron and Michael Christi. Other groups Ms. G. has been a member of include the Bloomington Camerata Orchestra and the Lyric Opera Theater of Arizona.
A dedicated performer and educator, Susanna G. has participated in community outreach programs throughout the country. She often performs at elementary schools, senior centers, museums, art galleries and cafés. Most recently, she played an alumni benefit recital for the Rudolf Steiner School in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.A passionate teacher, Ms. G. teaches students of all levels. She taught college-age students while studying at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and held a private studio in Phoenix, Arizona.
Susanna G. has won numerous awards including the Oberlin Conservatory Dean’s Scholarship, the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Dean’s Scholarship, the Arizona State University Orchestra Special Talent Scholarship, the South Mountain Association Willem Willeke Scholarship, and a performance award from the Berkshire Taconic Merit Scholarship Foundation.
