My love for the piano started at a very young age. I have been studying the piano for over 17 years and teaching for 9. I have extensively studied classical music, Persian music, advanced music theory, music history, and composition. I have been a recipient of several scholarships to various music programs and festivals, including the Schlern Music Festival in Italy in 2008.
After studying with a world renowned pianist and teacher, I received my Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in 2009. I have recently moved to New York City from the Washington DC area, where I taught both privately and in group lessons for nine years. I have experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Prior to my move to New York, I was also the pianist and choir director at a church for four years.
Music will always be the strongest passion in life and I hope to continue sharing my love for music with students for many years to come.
