Rachel F., voice/piano/guitar instruction. Ms. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice at the Mannes College of Music in New York City, where her studies also included extensive music theory, ear training, and sight singing.
Prior to her attending Mannes, Ms. Rachel was a student at the LaGuardia Arts High School (the “Fame” school), at which she performed and studied classical music, musical theatre, original student compositions in a wide variety of styles, rock, gospel, and pop. Under the instruction of her father- a professional musical theatre accompanist, conductor, arranger, and currently the music director of “The Fantasticks On Broadway”- Rachel studied piano for many years. Ms. Rachel continued her piano studies at the LaGuardia Arts High School and subsequently at the Mannes College. In addition, Ms. Rachel has played guitar since childhood. She performs weekly singing and playing guitar at the highly regarded Mommy and Me early childhood development program, Moonsoup, on East 56th Street and 2nd Avenue in New York City. Ms. Rachel teaches voice, piano, and guitar to children ages 3-16, as well as having worked as a nanny and a babysitter.
