I’m very motivated and I love what I do for a living, whether it be performing or teaching. Many of my students past and present have commented on how inspiring my passion for music is. I take a lot of pride in being able to motivate them in a positive, reassuring way, while still challenging them to improve as musicians. Ultimately, I’ve learned that music lessons – like just about anything else worth doing – are about more than simply learning a skill; the process of improving as an instrumentalist and as a musician enriches the soul. I feel that it’s not enough for me to help a student get better at playing scales, or develop their embouchure – it’s my job to inspire them, to make them want to better themselves and to make them realize the wonderful possibilities that come with dedicating oneself to the creative process. In addition to my these qualities, I am highly experienced with students of virtually all ages and am capable of teaching jazz, pop, classical at all levels of ability. I have taught privately at studios, colleges, and have also given group clinics and masterclasses at middle schools, high schools and colleges.
