Michelle M. has appeared as soloist and as chamber musician throughout the United States and in South Korea. Recent performances include recitals of solo and collaborative repertoire at St. John’s Church in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, The Tilles Center, The Knox School, and Nichols Concert Hall in Chicago. Previously, she toured as soloist and percussionist with the United States Navy Band Great Lakes for two years. Michelle is currently an active collaborative pianist with a strong interest in musical theatre and opera. She has taught applied music theory at Western Washington University, and has been teaching piano privately since 2005.
She received her Bachelors degree in piano performance from Western Washington University on scholarship. She is currently a Masters degree candidate in music education and choral conducting at LIU Post in Brookville, NY. She has studied piano with renowned pianists Lorraine Min, Carol Honigberg, and Christine Dore.
