Darnell A. is quickly gaining favorable recognition as a concert, opera, and recital artist. Darnell’s versatility and commanding performances have won over audiences throughout the United States and around the world.
His multi-genre experiences include: classical, gospel, R&B/soul, musical theater, and pop music. Examples of Darnell’s classical music engagements include several operatic roles, oratorios, and art song recitals. Other music genre engagements include: singing back-up for R&B/pop music artists Fantasia, Seal, and Will.i.am; former featured soloist for the Hawaii Governor’s Breakfast; and a collaborative performance with the Grammy Award-winning Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Darnell received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the Azusa Pacific University School of Music in Southern California. He is currently pursuing his Master in Music studies at the Manhattan School of Music where he studies under the tutelage of Metropolitan Opera vocal teacher, Mark Oswald.
