Chia-Yin M. has been a music educator for 13 years, and has previously taught both violin and piano in Taiwan, and in the United States: Texas, Maryland, and New York.
Ms. M. received her Master Degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins, MD 2004. She received her Bachelor Degree from Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taiwan 2001. Chia-Yin has taught both violin and piano in Music and Arts Center, B&B music, Music Workshops, Light House Academy Preparatory School, New Song Studio, and summer camp in Baltimore School for the Arts. During College, she was the string leader, and taught string sections.
As a performing musician, Chia-Yin has been a violin player and/or pianist in many different types of ensembles including big bands, jazz ensembles, function bands, string ensembles and orchestras. She led her own classical and jazz ensembles, and wrote musical arrangements for many of these.
Chia-Yin has been performing as a soloist for church services, and has performed in many concerts, cooperate events, and ceremonial occasions in VA, DC, MD, and NY. She has also recorded for numerous albums, and arranged strings for them. Chia-Yin strives to maintain a diverse and comprehensive violin and piano teaching by including students with all ages with varying musical interests and abilities. With a wide variety of performing experiences in multiple style of music, she is happy to teach, and enjoying all styles of music with her students from classical, pop, to jazz.
