Soprano Celeste S. holds a Masters degree in Applied Voice from the University of Delaware and a Bachelors of Music from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia as well as a Certificate in Arts Administration from New York University. Celeste has toured and studied in England, Wales, Austria and the United States. Honors include First Prize/Vocal Category in The Delaware Contest for Young Musicians, The Jeffrey Alan Eschmann Award for Vocal Merit, The University of the Arts Vocal Award, The Joseph & Ernestine Cairnes Scholarship and recently Celeste was a finalist in the Wagner Division of the Liederkranz Competition in NYC. She has sung with One World Symphony, The Johanna Meier Opera Theater Institute, Amici Opera, Atlantic Coast Opera, The Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, Opera Project of New Jersey and Opera Lancaster. In addition to her training in Vocal Pedagogy, Celeste has studied the Oboe and the Piano and has also had experience teaching music theory, ear-training, sol-fege and keyboard harmony as well as accompanying singers and instrumentalists.
