Amara N. Amara N. is a musician and a music instructor with over 17 years of experience in playing the trumpet, French horn, and piano. She received her BFA from William Paterson University for Graphic Design while pursuing her love of music by participating in the Latin Jazz ensemble. Amara has been privileged to perform in various musical venues including Lincoln Center, The Tilles Center and the Jazz Room Series at William Paterson University. She is currently a member of the Nassau-Suffolk Alumni Band and also performs on occasion with various community bands and orchestras including The Band of Long Island, Freeport Community Band, North Shore Pops, Rockaway Five Towns Symphony Orchestra, St. Martin of Tours’ Church and the South Shore Symphony. In addition to teaching music, Amara is employed full time at the Long Island Children’s Museum as a junior graphic designer and part time as an art instructor for the Little Ashcan studio of art in Queens. Throughout her 10+ years of teaching, Amara has strived to instill the magic of music in all of her students. She is happy to be involved with the Kathryn Brickell Music Studio and looks forward to a lifetime of musical endeavors.
