Soprano Alaysha Fox is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. This past summer, Ms. Fox was an Apprentice artist at opera Saratoga where she performed in various concerts and covered the Perneatha in the world premiere of Jeremy Beck’s The Long Walk. This past season Ms. Fox sang the role of First Lady in Die Zauberflӧte with MSM Opera Theater, the role of Dee Legendary in the world preview of Legendary by J. Rubinstein at MSM in collaboration with the American Opera Projects and Lady Macbeth in MSM Opera Theater’s production of Macbeth by Ernest Bloch. Previously Ms. Fox was a Studio Artist with the Chautauqua Opera Company, where she sang Kate in The Ballad of Baby Doe and Donna Anna in scenes from Don Giovanni. Other performance credits include The Rape of Lucretia (Female Chorus) with Ken Merrill’s singer seminar and Orphée aux enfers (Minerve) with the MSM senior opera theater. Scene work includes Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira and Donna Anna), Elektra (die Aufsehrin) and Tartuffe (Marianne) with Manhattan School of Music. She is a recipient of the Alexandra Hunt Endowed Scholarship and the 2015 winner of the Joan Ades Vocal competition.
